How to Save Data on CD

Regardless of whether you use Windows, Linux or any other operating systems, you always need to take backup of your important data, files, pictures, videos, emails and any other important files and documents. For saving data on a CD, you need to write the data on CD or burn CD, as is commonly known in the computer jargon. With the availability of couple of free programs, you can easily burn a CD on your computer.




With windows, the task of How to Save Data on CD is all the more simpler because you can right click on the specific files and use the command 'Send to' and then after the Windows automatically takes care of saving the data or files on CD. Once you have sent the files to the drive F that contains CD drive, you can easily find CD Writing Dialog Box on the Start Menu and Choose My Computer. With the general sizes of about 700 MB, you can store a large amount of data files on CD; however, with the advent of DVDs, you can store up to 4.7 GB data, that is, large media, audio and video files on CD.
