How to Save Electricity

In the days of acute scarcity of fossil fuels, global warming, expensive alternate energy sources and so on, it is often said that waste of electricity and energy is a national crime. Well, there is not an iota of exaggeration in the statement and Save Electricity is the need of the hour. Apart from saving the natural resources required for generating electricity, you also save a lot of money on power bills, as electricity has become a very costly commodity.

Nowadays, even the school kids learn how to save electricity and therefore, for the common citizens, it is a must. You can save electricity in many ways such as using electronic ballasts in tube lights, operating Air Conditioners at 23-24 degree temperatures, installing stabilizers for domestic appliances, replacing tungsten filament lamps in the toilets with power-saver lamps, and using LED lamps if you can afford the high initial costs, to name the few. However, the most common method of saving electricity is to use it prudently and switch off the lights and fans when not required.
